We absolutely loved working with Meg and Davis on their springtime wedding at Metropolist in Seattle. It was an amazing team of vendors who came together to create a special celebration for the sweetest couple.
From the beginning, Meg and Davis knew they wanted to do things a little differently for their wedding day. We were totally here for it!
It was important to them to tie the knot on their anniversary, so they chose to have an intimate ceremony at the Seattle Courthouse with just their immediate families. (In case you didn’t know, Seattle has the most stunning courthouse)! Meg and Davis were lucky to have their incredible photographer, Amanda K. White Photography, present for both days to capture all the special moments.
They then celebrated with guests the following day with all the fun festivities – cocktail hour, dinner, and LOTS of dancing at Metropolist in Seattle. Metropolist was the perfect spot for their celebration. There is so much room to be creative and we love all of the bright, natural light that fills the space.
Meg and Davis also wanted to give guests the chance to experience part of their ceremony, so they read vows to each other in front of their guests before dinner started. This was such a sweet way to include guests in their ceremony, even if they weren’t there in person.
Most Seattle weddings take place in the summer months, so we were super excited about this springtime wedding! Spring is such an underrated time of year in the Pacific Northwest – it’s lush and green and full of incredible flowers.
Meg and Davis wanted to celebrate the spring season by featuring lots of vibrant, spring blooms. The real showstopper was this incredible cherry blossom installation created by Twisted Bramble to hang above the sweetheart table. It was the epitome of springtime in Seattle! We also loved all the bright pinks featured in the bouquet and bud vases.
We got to work with one of our favorite local rental companies, Celebrations for Every Season, who provided the table-setting design. The mismatched vintage china and colorful napkins perfectly captured the springtime celebration Meg and Davis were going for. We love it when couples opt for special glassware to pair with their drink menu, vs. relying on single-use plastics. Celebrations for Every Season made that happen with an assortment of lovely and unique glassware.
Brothers & Co created a DELICIOUS menu for Meg and Davis’s reception. Guests were raving about the food and it was awesome to see such a fun line-up of dishes that you might not typically find at a wedding.
Then, whe it came time for dancing, Meg and Davis’s crew really hit the dance floor! It’s always fun to have a live band and you could tell their guests were loving it. (Great job, Blue Wave Band!)
Something Meg was really looking forward to in their Metropolist wedding was this swing! She was SO excited to hop on as soon as she had the chance! (It was a big hit with the rest of the guests too.)
As a planner, it was a delight to work with an incredible team of vendors and such a fun couple. I had the best time coordinating the moving pieces of the day and making sure Meg and Davis had an amazing night! For me, the highlight was definitely getting pulled into a hug by the bride at the end of the evening 🙂
